Top Ten! Illustrators

Under Illustration

Posted By oliver On 05/18/2008

So who's hot and who's not so hot in this months top ten! This time we are covering one of the most popular and fast growing areas of the design industry, Illustration.

Illustration has been growing in popularity and the computer age has really helped it become more than a sketching and drawing art form. You can use a whole bundle of programs like Adobe Illustrator®, CorelDRAW®, Macromedia Freehand®, Adobe Flash® and Serif DrawPlus® (just to name a few) to expand your work to a whole new level. Adding extra imagery, vibrant colours and much more.

Anyway enough of that, lets get down to the nitty gritty of this months TOP TEN!

  1. Tom Bagshaw - mostlywanted
  2. Nick La - webdesignwall, ndesign-studio & bestwebgallery
  3. Roth Aniko - rothaniko
  4. Ewout van Lambalgen - iwit
  5. Hayaty Mahdini - artgeex
  6. Neil Duerden - neilduerden
  7. Olof Lönnroth - lonnroth
  8. Nigel Evan Dennis - electricheat
  9. Catalina Estrada - katika
  10. Susanne Paschke - susannepaschke
Of course this ordering of these all very talented designers is my own personal taste and not that of everyone. Let me know if you feel the same or otherwise by leaving a comment.

I just found this really neet way to show support for all of your favourite websites and its called TopSpots from scratchback.com. Its an interesting twist on traditional advertising, where you would normally either pay for, for example, a months worth of advertising or £20 worth of clicks/impressions, however, with TopSpots your fans and users will tip you as they would a waiter/waitress.

I was really impressed with this simplistic yet effective idea that I have added TopSpots to Design Blocks and you can now tip us if you feel we are doing a good job.

What do you think about this subject and would you implement it into your website? We're looking forward to hearing from you on this one.
